Pizza Pilgrims to hit Chelsea's King’s Road
Pizza Pilgrims has signed for its latest site on Chelsea's King’s Road.

The Neapolitan pizza group, which achieved B Corp status earlier this year, will open the 2,200sq ft restaurant in mid-November.

The 80-cover restaurant will have both inside and al fresco seating as well as an intimate basement dining room that can transform into a ‘Cinema Paradiso’.

Designed to take consumers on an hour-long trip to Capri, the Chelsea site will mimic the 1950s Italian La Dolce Vita, delivering fun and nostalgia to 219 King’s Road.

“We are really excited to be opening on such an iconic street in London," says Thom Elliot, Pizza Pilgrims co-founder.

"We fell in love with the site when we first set eyes on it - and as always are excited to bring something a bit different to the Pizza Pilgrims experience with a unique, Capri-inspired design and fun cinema space downstairs.

"Our dad ran a pub off the King’s Rd many moons ago - so it has always been a special place to us! See you soon Chelsea.”

The new restaurant will be part of the Sloane Stanley Estate and will join recently opened restaurants Alley Cats, Dez Amore, and Josephine, as well as the imminent launch of Chris Denney's Fantomas in the coming weeks.

“219 King’s Road is one of our most prominent units on the Estate, and so needed an operator that would deliver a real ‘wow’ factor," says
Hannah Grievson, property director at Sloane Stanley.

"Pizza Pilgrims are experts in creating spaces that deliver high-quality food and a vibrant atmosphere. We are excited to see its Capri vision come to life on the King’s Road.”

The Chelsea opening is one of a number of restaurants being launched this year by the group. It recently launched sites in Euston and Cardiff and a site in Edinburgh will open by the end of the year.
