Trade Union
Grand Union's first 'blended' venue - a cocktail bar, restaurant, coffeehouse and barbershop, has opened in Wapping.
The 6,700 sq ft site, designed by interiors agency Kai, has been named Trade Union and is designed to unite three of the 'world's oldest industries - coffee, bars and grooming' and offer customers more services under one roof.
It serves cocktails alongside sourdough pizzas and New York-inspired dishes such as veal and pork meatballs with coffee company Vagabond responsible for running the in-house coffeehouse and Drakes of London providing the barber services.
Grand Union founder and CEO Adam Marshall said: "We are pioneering a completely new retail/leisure experience. Londoners are constantly on the hunt for innovation and with our new Wapping venture, we think they will be very interested indeed."
