French brasserie Marceline to open in Canary Wharf
The new venue will be inspired by Parisian and New York brasseries and will be located above Greek restaurant Horvada, which will occupy the water level deck of the purpose built pavilion when it opens later this year.
Marceline is being launched by chef and restaurateur Hus Vedat, who is also managing director of Hovarda, but promises be a very different proposition to the restaurant below.
In a post on social media, Vedat says that he has been working on the project for almost two years. “It’s finally coming together,” he says. “I can’t wait for you all to try.”
Hovarda Wood Wharf will be a 139-cover restaurant and terrace and will serve a menu described as an ‘amalgamation’ of dishes inspired by the coastlines of Greece and Turkey with a focus on family-style hot and cold meze plates followed by main dishes showcasing produce from land and sea.
