Searcys Restaurant and bar at the Barbican Centre is due to reopen next week with Executive Chef Quentin Fitch at the helm, following an extensive refurbishment to its decor.
Situated on the second floor of the Barbican, Searcys Restaurant and Bar will offer specially created breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner menus in an elegantly designed space. Furnished with dark woods and creams, with oversized lampshades and oak stained walls, guests will be able to relax as they dine while looking out across the Barbican lakeside.
Fitch, who has previously catered for Jasper Conran, Gordon Ramsay and the Queen, has created a menu that is typically simple and seasonal, using ‘honest’ British produce and local suppliers where possible. Cornish potatoes, squashes, rare breed pork and new season partridge are some of the ingredients featuring on September’s menu alone.

Searcys` St Pancras station restaurant, the St Pancras Grand (pictured above), also opened earlier this month opposite its sister site, the St Pancras Grand Champagne Bar. The launch coincided with the completion of the redevelopment of the station, and now serves an all-day British menu to a capacity of 200.
