The brand, which is supported by food brand platform Sessions, will open sites in Farnborough, Harrow, Hemel Hempstead, Edinburgh, Plymouth, and Portsmouth, adding to the existing 12 restaurants it currently operates.
SoBe Burger, which is an acronym of South Beach, was launched by schoolfriends Tom Ducker and Alex M following a trip to Florida. It operates from more than 200 delivery hubs and opened its first bricks-and-mortar site in 2024.
Its menu features a tight range of smashburgers including the BBQ cheeseburger, green chilli cheeseburger, truffle cheeseburger, and confit garlic cheeseburger as well as chicken and vegan burgers and a selection of topped fries.
The brand now runs restaurants in places including Nottingham, Tunbridge Wells, Dunstable, Wokingham, Ealing, and Maidenhead and says it is actively looking for franchise partners ‘to continue the growth of a next generation burger brand’.
The expansion builds on a £3m investment Sessions received from Guinness Ventures, which was announced in April 2024, and which was part of a strategy to support the company’s technology development and franchising plans.
The investment has helped Session to scale innovative food brands through its platform.
