Clapham is to get its first private members club when it opens this summer.

Located within the former Arding & Hobbs department store, The Arding Rooms will be located in the Wandsworth suburb and be operated by hospitality business x+why.

The new club will have restaurant and bar spaces and will feature a roof terrace as well as a Third Space gym.

The events spaces will have a capacity of up to 180 people and will be open to bookings from the general public and local business community as well as members.

The Arding Rooms’ interior will reference an arts and crafts aesthetic, using salvaged materials and several notable pieces of antique furniture, with a design that will embrace Arding & Hobbs’s central stained glass domed atrium (pictured below).
