Fundamental Hospitality, the Dubai-based group behind London restaurants Gaia and La Maison Ani, is mulling a possible float on the London Stock Exchange.

This is Money reports that the group is in the early stages of gearing up to go public.

Founder and chairman Evgeny Kuzin has said he is looking at listing in Dubai or Abu Dhabi, but has not ruled out London or New York, in the next three to five years.

Fundamental Hospitality made its UK debut in late 2023 with the opening of high-end Greek restaurant Gaia (pictured) on Dover Street in Mayfair.

This was followed last year with the launch of La Maison Ani within The Carlton Tower Jumeirah in Knightsbridge, which focuses on French-Mediterranean cuisine.

The group will further add to its London estate this year with the launch of high-end pan Asian restaurant Shanghai Me, which will take over the former Galvin at Windows site on the 28 floor of the London Hilton hotel on Park Lane.

Shanghai Me will boast 1930s Shanghai-inspired interiors by designer Richard Saunders and feature deep red velvet chairs and low lighting intended to create a ‘glamourous and romantic atmosphere’.

The menu is inspired by the culinary traditions of East Asia and will feature an extensive ‘library’ of dim sum; wagyu kushiyaki; and miso cod.

Discussing the opening last year, Kuzin said: “At Fundamental Hospitality, we are committed to surpassing expectations with each new opening.

“London Hilton on Park Lane has been the city’s hospitality calling card since 1963; with the launch of Shanghai Me, we join them as they enter their next chapter, one that matches our passion for pairing new ideas with classic comfort for the very finest in luxury and experience.”
