The Italian restaurant group says it will also make significant investments in the UK including relocating its Cicchetti Piccadilly to a new, larger site in St James’s in the spring and giving its Manchester flagship a refurbishment.
Its Alto by San Carlo terrace at Selfridges in London will also undergo a full refurbishment in spring.
The launch of San Carlo in Miami, which is set for spring, marks what the company says is ‘a momentous leap’ as its first venture into the US market.
It will be followed by new openings in Morocco and a continued expansion by the group into the Middle East in the summer with a new San Carlo restaurant in Bahrain, which will join the group’s Cicchetti venue that opened in the region in 2018.
Following a successful pop-up last year, a San Carlo restaurant will also open in Egypt in the autumn.
In the UK, the relocated Cicchetti will span two floors and have space for 94 covers plus 10 bar seats and a private dining room that will seat 20 covers.
“2025 is set to be a defining year for San Carlo. Our expansion continues to focus on blending traditional flavours with a contemporary approach, offering a refined experience that goes beyond the typical Italian restaurant,” says Marcello Distefano, CEO of San Carlo Group.
“From our established locations in the Middle East and Asia to the much-anticipated Miami debut, we’re excited to bring a taste of Italy to new diners.
“Expanding into the US with our first Miami location, and our continued growth into Bahrain, Morocco, and Egypt reflects the passion for our authentic Italian cuisine.
“We look forward to welcoming guests to these exceptional new spaces.”
