Described as a ‘strategic decision’, the move means Misha and Roman Zelman have resigned as directors of Goodman Steakhouses and Beast Restaurant, effective immediately, while Ilya Demichev and George Bukhov-Weinstein have stepped down as directors of Burger & Lobster.
Moving forward, Misha Zelman will lead the continued expansion of Burger & Lobster, which recently returned to the expansion trail with its first new UK site in eight years in Brighton.
Zelman will also continue to focus on his growing hospitality venture, Creative Restaurant Group, whose portfolio includes the Michelin-starred Humo in London’s Mayfair and multiple restaurants led by sushi maestro Endo Kazutoshi.
“This marks a natural evolution of our business journey,” says Zelman.
“We have built incredible brands together, and this decision allows us to focus on our respective strengths and visions for the future.”
Demichev and Bukhov-Weinstein will take full ownership of the operations and future development of Goodman Steakhouses and Beast Restaurant.
“We remain proud of what we’ve achieved and look forward to taking our businesses to new heights,” says the pair.
