Announcing the news on social media, co-founder Florence Mae Maglanoc revealed that the new bakery will open on Soho’s Hopkins Street and will be larger than the Kentish Town original.
“I have found a new space, and I’m excited to share that the bakery will be back in business soon,” she says.
“With a bigger space and so much more to come, I can’t wait to welcome you all back.”
The new opening follows the closure of the original Panadera in Kentish Town at the end of January, with Maglanoc blaming landlord difficulties and operational challenges for the move.
Panadera was launched by Maginhawa Group in 2021, taking over the one of the dining room spaces of the group’s pan-Asian restaurant Bintang in Kentish Town.
Late last year the London-based Filipino restaurant business also closed its Ramo Ramen restaurant in Kentish Town.
The new Panadera will bolster Maginhawa Group’s already strong presence in and around Soho and will join its sites including Ramo Ramen in Soho, modern Filipino restaurant Donia in Kingly Court, and ice cream parlour Mamasons in Chinatown.
The group also operates what was its second Panadera on Picton Street in Marylebone.
“I’m so excited for this next chapter, new vibe, new specials, and a fresh space to create,” adds Maglanoc. “I can’t wait for Panadera to be part of the amazing Soho community.”
