Called OCASA, it will be located on The Avenue, across from Dear Sailor, on the site of former Sunset restaurant and bar and takes inspiration from Tulum and the street food scene of Mexico City.
The kitchen is being headed up by executive chef Lucie Sainerova, formerly of Novikov International, who has created a menu of robata-grilled yakitori-style taco skewers called yaki takos and dishes such as dragon salt wagyu tacos and lobster thermidor nachos.
Also available will be a range of sharing plates as well as OCASA’s signature table-side guacamole, BBQ tacos, and Sunday feasting menus.
“We’re taking familiar flavours and elevating them in ways that surprise and excite,” says Sainerova.
“Every dish tells a story. This is Mexican food like you’ve never seen before.”
OCASA will also be home to a bar that will have one of the UK’s most extensive collections of premium agave spirits and cocktails, according to the owners.

The restaurant’s interior will ‘blend rustic warmth with a hint of coastal Mexico’ with textured rock walls and a terracotta and jade green colour palate and the space will house an 80-seat terrace.
OCASA opens on 18 April.
