Angela Hartnett will open a fourth Italian restaurant under her Cafe Murano brand later this year.

Opening in the summer, the new restaurant will be located in Marylebone on Dorset Street and will serve Cafe Murano’s menu of regional varieties of Italian cuisine including brand new dishes exclusive to the Marylebone site.

Dishes on Cafe Murano’s menu include cichetti of salt cod fritters, parmesan and lemon; and roast squash, Jerusalem artichoke, and pumpkin seed pesto; primi of gnocchi, delica squash, chanterelles and confit garlic; and secondi of chicken Milanese, rocket, baby gem and parmesan; and chard, broccoli and chilli frittata.

The food at the restaurant group is overseen by group executive chef Shaun Francome, who joined the Murano team back in 2017 and was previously head chef at the St James’s restaurant.

Cafe Murano launched on St James Street in 2013 as the more casual sibling to Hartnett’s Michelin starred Mayfair restaurant Murano.

It was followed by the opening of a larger, two-story site on Tavistock Street in Covent Garden in 2015, with a third site opening on Bermondsey Street in 2019.

In 2023 Hartnett’s flagship Murano restaurant celebrated its 15th anniversary with a three-week refurbishment and the introduction of George Ormond as head chef, replacing Emily Brightman, who had been at the restaurant for almost seven years.
