Boxpark Shoreditch brings in new traders following lease extension

Boxpark Shoreditch

Boxpark Shoreditch has welcomed 12 new traders including five new food operators following its lease extension.

Vietnamese concept BanMe, British Kebab Award winner Farmhouse Kebab, and Thai brand Satay Street are among the new food traders to join the Shoreditch line-up.

Boxpark Shoreditch houses more than 40 traders across food and retail in total.

Restaurant revealed back in January that Boxpark had secured a short-term lease to continue trading from its Shoreditch outpost.

It followed an announcement last year that the group was preparing to close the site after its landlord announced its intention to trigger a break clause in the lease.

The group has since confirmed that Boxpark Shoreditch will continue to trade until at least the end of September this year with negotiations about a further extension understood to be ongoing.

Boxpark Shoreditch’s existing line-up of food traders also includes Yoki Social Table, Love Churros, Pasta Evangelists, Viva Falafel, The After School Cookie Club, Black Bear Burger, Poptata, Dub Pan, Acai Berry, Silician Pride, and Grano Tenero Pizza.

Other new additions include grass-fed steak specialist Beast & Field, and Greekos Gyros.

The site has also confirmed that its rooftop terrace is set to reopen from 31 March for the spring and summer seasons.

Boxpark, which appointed former Gusto Italian leader Matt Snell as its new CEO earlier this month, will launch its first Boxhall site at the historic Metropolitan Arcade building close to Liverpool Street station in London.

In comparison to Boxpark, which also has outposts in Croydon, Camden, Wembley and Liverpool, Boxhall sites are designed to be smaller F&B-focused destinations featuring between six and 12 street food vendors.

A further Boxhall is set to open later this year in Bristol, with a new Boxpark site also due to launch in Birmingham.
