Lisa Goodwin-Allen has been appointed culinary director at The Beaumont Mayfair hotel in London.

In the new role, Goodwin-Allen will work alongside The Beaumont Mayfair CEO Stuart Procter and executive chef Brendan Fyldes to oversee the luxury hotel’s food offering.

This includes as its new flagship restaurant ROSI, which is scheduled to open this autumn.

The move marks something of a reunion for Goodwin-Allen, Procter and Fyldes, whose careers have overlapped at various points including at Northcote in Lancashire, where Goodwin-Allen is chef patron-director.

“We are thrilled to have Lisa joining us at The Beaumont,” says Procter.

“She is an exceptional chef and having known and worked with her for many years, I have no doubt that her passion and expertise will elevate our food offering to even higher standards.

“Lisa is joining the team at a very exciting time. Working alongside Brendan Fyldes, she will play an integral role in the launch of our new restaurant, as well as other exciting projects we have coming up.”

News of the appointment follows a dramatic couple of months for Goodwin-Allen, who confirmed last week that she would be rejoining Northcote having announced her departure from the Michelin-starred restaurant in March after 23 years behind the stoves there.

Her decision to return to the Ribble Valley hotel and restaurant followed its sale by The Stafford Collection to Silkstone Finance, the investment vehicle of husband-and-wife team Alf and Clare Ellis, who also run Pontefract-based kitchen manufacturer Ultim.

It is understood Goodwin-Allen will hold her new role at The Beaumont Mayfair alongside her position at Northcote.

“I am delighted to be joining the team at The Beaumont Mayfair and to be working with Stuart again in this next chapter of my career,” she says.

“With the launch of ROSI in the autumn and other exciting projects in the pipeline, I look forward to working with Brendan and the kitchen brigade to create menus that embrace seasonality and showcase the very best British ingredients, as well as collaborating on the overall F&B direction of the hotel.

“Together I know we will deliver exceptional dining experiences to our guests.”
