The bubble waffle brand will open a site on Notting Hill’s Portobello Road later this month, marking a new chapter for the business that will likely see it open more sites across London and the UK.
The restaurant will serve Mammy Pancake’s signature products such as the original, and earl grey bubble waffles, alongside UK exclusives including crème brulee, sticky toffee pudding, and pistachio.
Seasonal specials and drinks including a strawberries and cream special and Hong Kong-style milk tea will also be available.
Where possible, core ingredients will be sourced directly from Asia to maintain authenticity, while select UK produce will be used to develop regionally exclusive flavours.

Mammy Pancake was founded in 2009 and has more than 20 location in Asia. The UK launch is led by friends and franchise partners Brendan Ho and Donald Lai who were both originally from Hong Kong but moved to the UK at the age of 13.
Lai previously worked as a consultant on campaigns for brands such as Costa Coffee and Wagamama and Ho, an investment banker, grew up in a family that runs multiple restaurants in Hong Kong and mainland China.
“We want to give Londoners and the wider UK market access to genuine Hong Kong street food, executed with the same quality and heart that made it a staple of our childhood,” says Ho.
The pair say the Mammy Pancake brand is well positioned for UK-wide growth with younger consumers seeking globally-inspired food experiences.
“We’re not just bringing a product over - we’re bringing a culture and a legacy,” adds Lai. “And this is just the beginning.
“We hope to open additional locations and make Mammy Pancake a household name across the UK.”
