The restaurant, whose name combines Nō, symbolising skill and artistry, with Shi, the Japanese word for four, will open in Trinity Square in a site located between the Victoria Shopping Centre and the Corner House Leisure Complex following a £4m investment.
The 4,650sq ft venue will have space for 120 covers and will serve a menu of modern Japanese and Chinese-inspired dishes that will include plates such as sweet sticky chicken; and wagyu beef served on a pink Himalayan salt block.
The interior will feature naturally sourced materials including hard woods in ebony and caramel tones and eucalyptus and stained walnut accents. A signature cherry blossom installation will flow through the heart of the restaurant, stretching overhead, suspended in a drifting formation.
“Nōshi will offer something completely new to those who live and work in Nottingham,” says head of brand Sue Crimes.
“Combining exceptional food and drinks with a memorable and immersive experience.
“The essence of opulence shapes our entire guest experience. With each visit, our goal is to delight, inspire, and establish Nōshi as Nottingham’s must-visit destination.”
