- Hospitality entrepreneur Artem Login will open two London restaurants this year. Japanese-inspired grill and sushi restaurant MOI will open on Soho’s Wardour Street led by former Gordon Ramsay Group chef Andy Cook, while northern Spanish restaurant ALTA will open within Soho’s Kingly Court focused on open fire cooking and will be overseen by former Gazelle chef Rob Roy Cameron.
- Amy Corbin and Patrick Williams are to relocate their London-based, South African-inspired restaurant group Kudu from Peckham to Marylebone in September. The husband-and-wife team have taken over the Aubaine site on the corner of Moxon Street and Cramer Street for a restaurant that will bring together their three concepts – restaurants Kudu and Kudu Grill, and private dining and events space Curious Kudu – under one roof.
- Gordon Ramsay’s production company has partnered with Michelin for a new eight-episode documentary series exploring ‘the high-stakes world of international fine dining’. Knife Edge: Chasing Michelin Stars, which will be shown on Apple TV+, follows chefs across the world over the course of a year as they attempt to either gain their first Michelin star, strive towards getting a second or even third star, or work to retain their current status and will be hosted by Jesse Burgess of Topjaw fame.
- Rare Restaurants will close its last remaining M Restaurant after more than decade trading, bringing an end to the brand’s presence in the London dining scene. As well as M Threadneedle Street, Rare Restaurants will also close its Twickenham pub The Crane Tap, which originally launched as M Bar & Grill in 2017, leaving only the Gaucho brand in Rare’s portfolio.
- The Salad Project is to accelerate its expansion with four new locations this summer. The premium salad business, which currently operates seven venues, is to open in Victoria, Notting Hill, Southwark, and Battersea Power Station as part of its goal to reach 20 sites by 2027.
