Five Guys will open a site in Heathrow Terminal 5 later this year, marking its first location within a UK and European airport.

The US-based fast food giant has secured a 2,500sq ft unit on the terminal’s upper level that will hold approximately 90 covers and offer both takeaway and eat in.

Open all day, the restaurant will feature exclusive elements tailored for Heathrow including a dedicated welcome host to greet passengers and an increased number of ordering kiosks available to use in six different languages.

“We’re very excited to welcome Five Guys to Terminal 5 - becoming the first airport in the UK and Europe to host the beloved burger brand,” says Fraser Brown, retail director at Heathrow

“This exciting addition reflects our commitment to making every journey better, as we continue to build an extraordinary airport fit for the future. We’re confident this new arrival will be a hit with our passengers.”

Founded in Virginia in 1986, Five Guys launched in the UK in 2013 in London’s Covent Garden and now has an estate of more than 170 restaurants across the country.

“We are thrilled to be opening a brand new Five Guys at Heathrow Terminal 5 this year,” says John Eckbert, CEO of Five Guys UK.

“The brand has established itself as one of the nation’s favourites for premium burgers. Now Five Guys is cementing itself at the UK’s busiest travel hub; we are excited to be providing our delicious menu to travellers as part of their journeys.”
