Domino’s has launched a chicken-focused sub-brand designed to capture a share of the fast-growing chicken market and help drive growth across its core business.

Called Chick ’N’ Dip, it is being trailed at 187 of the pizza brand’s sites in the northwest of England and Northern Ireland, with plans to scale nationally.

The offer comprises a selection chicken tenders, wings, and boneless bites, with a choice of nine dips inspired by global flavours - Garlic Aioli; BBQ, Hot Honey; Ghost Chilli Glaze; Katsu Curry; Mexican Mayo; Teriyaki, Garlic & Herb, and Buffalo Hot.

“Chick ’N’ Dip is a bold new chapter for Domino’s,” says Andrew Rennie, CEO at Domino’s Pizza Group.

“By creating a dedicated concept that combines globally inspired flavours with high quality chicken, we’re opening up a significant opportunity for our UK & Ireland business, alongside continued growth in our core pizza business, where we have significantly increased our market share.

“Chick ’N’ Dip is a fantastic product with the potential to be a powerful new growth lever, underpinned by our loyal customer base and trusted delivery.”

The new concept will be fulfilled from the pizza group’s existing supply chain and kitchens, with minimal capital investment.

To celebrate the launch, a flock of delivery drivers dressed as chickens rode through the streets today (8 September).

“We wanted to create a real ‘what the cluck’ moment for our customers to mark the product launch, and as delivery experts, how else could we launch than with a huge flock of delivery chickens?,” says Izzy Gardener, CCFO (chief chicken flock officer) at Domino’s.
