Michelin-starred restaurant Endo at the Rotunda will remain closed until further notice following a fire at the building almost a week ago.

The restaurant’s parent company Creative Restaurant Group has confirmed that the restaurant, run by Endo Kazutoshi, has been affected by the blaze at the Helios building in which it is situated.

In a message posted on Instagram it says: “On the morning of Saturday, 6 September, a fire broke out at the Helios building, causing damage to Endo at the Rotunda. We are profoundly grateful to the London Fire Brigade for their swift and courageous response, and to the residents and community for their patience and cooperation throughout.

“Most importantly, we are relieved and thankful that everyone is safe. Our team is absolutely heartbroken by what has happened, and the Rotunda will remain closed until further notice while we carefully navigate the path ahead.

“We will share updates in due course, and in the meantime, we remain deeply touched by the support and kindness we have received.”

The restaurant, which is currently ranked 24th on Restaurant’s list of the top 100 places to eat in the UK, only reopened last year following a major refurbishment that included its bar area replaced with a wooden landscape-like seating area.
