The new site will be the Bristol-founded sandwich chain’s third London location, joining its debut site in the city on Gresham Street and a second on Mark Lane near Tower Hill.
It takes the business up to five sites in total, joining its pair in Bristol.
In a post on Instagram, Joshua Kleiner, head of operations and marketing at Sandwich Sandwich, describes the move as ‘from the West Country to the West End’ and says that news of the opening is the first of three big announcements from the company.
“For full transparency, I’m absolutely bricking it, and I haven’t slept much since we’ve signed the lease because the rent is scary,” he says.
“Moving onto one of the busiest streets in London and sharing the stage with some of the biggest names in hospitality kinda reminds me of that time I was 9 and I finally got to sit round the adults table at family gatherings — you feel really big and grown up and try to forget the fact you’ve totally blagged your way to sit there. I even got to try a sip of wine for the first time and proceeded to act drunk for the following 3 hours until bed time.”
The Tottenham Court Road site is due to open in October.
