Detroit-style pizza and natural wine bar Ria’s will open a second site in the capital this autumn.

Building on the success of their Notting Hill original, co-founders Ria and David Morgan-Ratcliffe will open a site on Soho’s Fouberts Place in November.

Described as a ‘wiser’ version of the debut restaurant, Ria’s Soho will have 38 covers split across two floors and have an open kitchen on the ground floor where diners can see the brand’s signature deep-pan, square-cut Detroit-style pizza being made.

Downstairs will be a wine cave with seating among dough mixers and bags of Cotswold flour, and which will feature a marble sharing table.

The pizza will be available by the ‘pie’ or by the slice and menu options will be similar to that at Notting Hill, which includes varieties such as Dave’s Hot Pep – red sauce, cheese mix, pepperoni, Calabrian chillies, pickled jalapenos, stracciatella, hot honey, and aged parmesan; the bechamel based Smokey Nico made with pancetta, smoked provolone, friarielli, and pickled chillies, and aged parmesan; and the classic House Pie made with red sauce, cheese mix, ricotta drizzle, and basil and lemon drizzle.

Sides include fried potatoes with garlic-infused whipped feta; a coppa plate with basil oil; and baby gem salad.

A selection of natural wines will be available by the glass or bottle from small, independent producers alongside a ‘small but punchy’ cocktail list.

“We’ve taken everything we’ve learned, refined it, and built something that feels like a confident evolution of the brand,” says co-owner Ria. “Expect the same signature style, energy, and experience - just a bit more polish. We’ve grown, learned, and fine-tuned, and this new site reflects that evolution.”

“Soho - and just off Carnaby Street especially - just felt right. Plus, it’s number 29… the same as our Notting Hill site, so it felt like fate. This is very much the natural next step for us. We’re excited, eager, and ready for what’s next.”

Ria’s was founded in 2023 by a husband-and-wife duo Ria and David Morgan-Ratcliffe, who quit their tech jobs to become restaurateurs.

Ria’s Soho will open on 1 November.
