The founder of Shoreditch’s Passione Vino will mark more than two decades in London by opening the doors of a second venue.

Luca Dusi will open the new wine bar in Clerkenwell’s Exmouth Market in a former tattoo parlour once again representing his passion and devotion to producers.

As at the original Passione Vino, there will be no wine list, with Dusi and his team, led by Manager Stefano Marro, recommending their favourite bottles, with pairings individual to each guest. The 30-cover venue will continue Passione Vino’s focus on wines from across Italy as well as those from other countries.

Chef Pascal Lazzarotto has created a menu to accompany the wine selection with a range of Italian sandwiches made with loaves such as altamura and schiacciata and with fillings such as oxtail, smoked trout, cotechino and sardines.

The design of the Clerkenwell Passione Vino draws inspiration from the tattoo shop’s past and include bold artwork and carefully chosen details, all while echoing Dusi’s Italian roots.

“Passione Vino has always been about more than wine. It’s about people, connections, and discovery,” says Duci.

“With the new bar in Clerkenwell, we’re expanding the family. We’re bringing across everything we love from Shoreditch, adding new bottles, new flavours, and new experiences, all while celebrating the incredible history of this building. We can’t wait to welcome people in. Ciao.”

Launched in 2015, Passione Vino - part shop, bar and restaurant - has become known for its pasta and generous Italian wine collection as well as for passionate raconteur Dusi himself.
