The group behind Fitzrovia restaurant Norma has opened a restaurant next door.

DOMA Hospitality has brought its Eastern Mediterranean restaurant brand Gallio to 7 Charlotte Street, adding to the original restaurant that made its debut in Canary Wharf.

Gallio serves a menu that includes mezze and small plates such as shawarma chicken hummus with pink onion and pickles; baba ganoush; octopus and sujuk chorizo skewer; and kofte meatballs alongside an extensive range of breads and dough-based mains.

“Gallio has already proven itself in Canary Wharf, and we’re delighted to bring our philosophy of fresh, seasonal Eastern Mediterranean cooking to Charlotte Street,” says James Porter, managing director at DOMA Hospitality

“One of the highlights of this new space is the open, low-counter kitchen, it allows guests to see their dishes being prepared right in front of them by our talented chefs.

“Watching our freshly baked breads and seasonal ingredients come together, with no short cuts, helps build genuine trust and connection with our guests.”

The first Gallio restaurant opened in late 2021 in Canary Wharf following its launch as a delivery-only pizza brand in south London the previous year.

Norma opened on 8 Charlotte Street in summer 2019.
