Starting today (17 October), the pop-up on Greek Street will serve the brand’s Islak burgers and toasties.
The name wet burger refers to an Islak Hamburger, a Turkish street food popular in Istanbul, particularly near Taksim Square. The burger comprises a beef patty in a bun that is drenched in a garlic and tomato sauce and then steamed, giving it a juicy and often sloppy texture.
The Wet Burgers sell what it describes a western take on the Islak burger with options that include a wet smash wagyu burger; and cheese wet burger; and a signature wet burger soaked in its ‘secret’ signature sauce.
Other options include toasties such as the sucuk and mozzarella made with spicy Turkish sausage; and the roasted veal and mozzarella hot bun toastie.
Until now, The Wet Burgers patties have only been available via delivery on Deliveroo and Ubereats.
The Wet Burgers pop-up runs from 17 to 19 October on 58 Greek Street.
