Husband and wife owners Sam and Georgie Pearman will open a site in Bicester Village, joining the original The Double Red Duke, a 17th-century coaching inn located in The Cotswolds.
Opening next month, the Bicester Village venue will be open from morning to evening and will serve a menu similar to the that at the original. Breakfast options will include a full English, eggs in many ways, and the DRD Muffin - made with sausage patty, bacon, fried egg and Ogleshield.
An a la carte menu will be served from lunchtime starting with bar snacks such as chipolatas with mustard; Westcombe cheddar toastie with pickled walnut; and a sausage roll, before moving into starters and small plates of beef tartare with beef dripping toast; and wood fire baked scallops with chervil and tarragon butter.
Mains will include hearty British classics such as fish and chips with peas and tartare sauce; pie of the days served with mash, greens and gravy;and a range of meats served from the grill such as flat iron steak, veal chop and rotisserie half chicken, with burnt lemon and garlic mayonnaise.
Dessert will include apple and blackberry crumble with Neal’s Yard double cream; and sticky toffee pudding with vanilla ice cream.
Early next year, the site will also introduce afternoon tea, with a selection of house-made scones served with clotted cream and jam; cakes, and sandwiches.

“Opening The Double Red Duke at Bicester Village allows us to bring that same spirit. Good food, good company and a sense of belonging, of course alongside some incredible shopping too,” says Georgie Pearman.
The Pearmans opened the first The Double Red Duke in 2021, which was then Country Creatures’ third venue. Since then they have expanded the group and will next year open The Wild Duck Inn pub with rooms in the village of Ewen in the southern Cotswolds.
The Double Red Duke at Bicester Village will open on 3 November.
