The Korean-Japanese QSR chain currently operates 82 locations across the UK including corporate-owned restaurants, joint ventures and franchise sites.
Rak Kyu Park, chairman and founder of Kokoro Group, says the business will strategically open restaurants in London and across England and will also target Wales and Scotland.
The group is also targeting a move into the wider European market.
“This expansion represents more than just growth – it is about innovating the UK dining scene with authentic Japanese and Korean cuisine prepared fresh on site, and contributing to local economies,” he says.
“We are excited to offer restaurateurs sustainable business opportunities and collaborative potential, both in the UK and across Europe,” adds Park.
In September Kokoro said it was ‘committed to expanding’ across the UK following strong sales. The group says it is investing ‘significant capital’ into its growth plan and is actively seeking franchise partners.
It reported a turnover of £36m for 15 months from 1 June 2023 to 31 August 2024, with operating profit of £3.5m and profit after tax of nearly £2.7m.
