Dave’s Hot Chicken will arrive in Croydon this month, marking its seventh UK restaurant.

The Nashville-style chicken brand will open on Croydon High Street on 16 December serving its range of chicken tenders and sliders available in its signature seven-level spice scale.

The brand says it is looking forward to competing in an area ‘known for its chicken shops’ and describes Croydon as ‘one of London’s most iconic communities’.

“We can’t wait to close out the year with our sixth new opening and bring our signature heat to Croydon,” says Jim Attwood, managing director at Dave’s Hot Chicken UK.

“This dynamic borough, known for its fried chicken shops, has a vibrant food culture and an energy that fits Dave’s attitude like a glove.”

Dave’s Hot Chicken was announced as this year’s One to Watch at the R200 Awards following its successful debut in London, where the first location became the highest-grossing site ever launched by Azzurri Group.

The group also recently revealed that it was forced by police to temporarily close its restaurants in London, Birmingham and Liverpool due to overcrowding after a giveaway to coincide with investor rapper Drake’s birthday.

Dave’s Hot Chicken operates sites in London, Manchester, Stevenage, and Birmingham.
