Milanese seafood restaurant Langosteria will finally open at Whitehall venue The OWO later this year, three years after it was first mooted.

Due to open in the spring, the London restaurant will be the first UK location for the global restaurant group, which launched in the Italian city’s Design District in 2007.

London will mark Langosteria’s third international outpost following successful openings in Paris and St. Moritz.

Langosteria is described as a ‘fine dining restaurant with Italian roots’ with the London restaurant described as representing a significant step in the brand’s international development.

Dishes on its menus include octopus, chorizo and purple potatoes; spaghetti, clams and sea urchins; charcoal grilled dover sole; and Galizian turbot ‘alla milanese’; as well as a large selection of oysters and raw fish.

Since its 2007 launch the group has expanded, most recently opening in Montenapoleone in autumn last year.

The restaurant was first announced back in 2023, with founder Enrico Buonocore (pictured) saying at the time: “I am delighted to announce the launch of our first Langosteria in the UK. It has been a long-term dream of mine to have a restaurant in London and The OWO is the perfect venue for us to make our debut,”

It will join eight restaurants at The OWO - Cafe Ciel, Mauro Colagreco at The OWO, Mauro’s Table, Saison by Mauro Colagreco, Kioku by Endo, Paper Moon, Pillar Kitchen, and The Drawing Room.
