Sally Abé joins the Bull in Charlbury

Sally Abé has announced her departure from Cotswolds pub The Bull Charlbury after less than a year.

The chef joined the pub, which is part of Public House group, as head of food in March having left her role at Westminster restaurant The Pem earlier in the month.

Abé hasn’t given a reason for her departure but in an Instagram post says that ‘something new and exciting’ is coming that she will announce soon.

In her post she says: “Moving to the Cotswolds was never on my bingo card but I must admit it’s been a brilliant year and I’ve made so many new friends, learned so much about produce and had the pleasure of working with some wonderful people.”

Public House group also operates London pubs The Pelican in Notting Hill, The Hero in Maida Vale, and The Hart in Marylebone as well as The Fat Badger in Notting Hill.

Abé says that her last day at the pub is today (7 January).
