The opening, which was revealed back in September last year, will be the fifth site under the Permit Room concept and will open at Exchange Court on the city’s Dale Street in a building that was formerly home to the Royal Bank of Scotland.
“We’ve wanted to bring Dishoom to Liverpool for a long time, and Permit Room felt like the perfect way to do it,” says Brian Trolip, Dishoom CEO.
“Our Permit Rooms are lively and rooted in the spirit of Bombay’s drinking culture – a place for cocktails, comfort food and connection, all day long. We can’t wait to open our doors and become part of the city.”
Dishoom now operates Permit Rooms in Brighton, Cambridge, London (pictured) and Oxford. Its dishes are designed for sharing and include snacks such as crispy spinach chaat, and mains such as lamb curry; prawn moilee; and half or whole tandoori grilled chicken as well as Dishoom classics such as its black daal; mattar paneer; and breakfast naaan rolls.
Permit Room Liverpool will open in late February for soft launch before its official launch in March.
