The group will open a 3,000sq ft restaurant on the second floor of Cribbs Mall in the south west city, joining high street groups Wagamama, Nando’s, Chopstix, Itsu, Patisserie Valerie, and Slim Chickens.
“Bristol has always been an important city for Honest Burgers, so opening our third restaurant here feels incredibly special,” says Emma Sherwood-Smith, chief commercial officer at Honest Burgers.
“Since launching in 2011, we’ve focused on serving great British beef, homemade rosemary chips and locally sourced ingredients, and Cribbs Causeway is an exciting destination for us to bring that Honest experience to even more people. We’re looking forward to welcoming both new and familiar faces.”
The opening is part of Honest Burgers’ purchase of 12 GBK sites from owner Boparan Restaurant Group last year. The group has already reopened a number of the GBK sites it bought, including a site in Bristol’s Cabot Circus that opened in November, and sites in London in South Kensington, on Old Brompton Road, Wimbledon, and East Dulwich, all of which opened in the last few months of 2025.
A former GBK site in Shepherd’s Bush is also due to reopen as an Honest Burgers soon followed by sites in Norwich, Royal Leamington Spa, and Belsize Park and West Hampstead in London.
The group is also understood to be opening a site in Oxford later in the year.
