The restaurant, located on Coulgate Street, was the burger brand’s first permanent restaurant when it opened in November 2023 following more than 10 years as a street food outfit.
Writing on Instagram the brand says: “This was our first real leap into a full-time restaurant and a continuation of our obsession with great burgers. Over the last two years, that little space gave us more than we could ever have planned for.
“We’re sad to be closing the door, but genuinely grateful for every customer who came through, supported us, queued up, came back again, and believed in what we were trying to build.”
“This decision didn’t come lightly. It’s a necessary one, and part of stepping back, refocusing, and making sure we’re building something sustainable, both for the business and for ourselves.”
Mother Flipper will continue as an events company and will run its street food stall every Saturday at Brockley Market,
“Thank you for being part of this chapter. We tried our best, and we’re proud of what happened inside those walls,” it adds.
