Leon made combined losses of £60m during the four-year period it was owned by Asda/EG Group, an administrator’s report shows.

The business, which was re-acquired by co-founder John Vincent in October last year, appointed administrators late last year with a plan to implement a CVA proposal.

It recently closed around 22 sites - around half its company-operated estate – as part of a restructure, leaving it with 21 corporate sites.
