As revealed by Restaurant earlier this month, the pub on Latimer Road in West London is being taken over by well-known restaurateur Jon Spiteri, and Melanie Arnold, co-founder of Rochelle Canteen, and their sons Lorcan and Fin, the duo behind Caravel, and daughter Molly, business development lead at Koya.
Opening on 21 April, The Latimer’s kitchen will be led by Lorcan, serving a menu that balances classic flavours and hearty favourites with ‘refined, imaginative touches’.
Snacks and starters will include black pudding confit potato with homemade brown sauce; and poached trout mayonnaise in little gem, while larger plates will include brown crab tagliolini with bisque and lemon; and ox tail with mash and horseradish.
Desserts such as almond cake with custard and poached rhubarb; and a white chocolate ganache with clementine and shortbread will also feature.
Alongside the main menu, The Latimer will have a dedicated bar menu that will include masala monkfish with tartare sauce, and tempura oyster mushrooms with pickles.
On Sundays, the traditional roast will give way to sharing platters of meat, accompanied by a selection of seasonal vegetables.
Interior design elements will include upholstered and recycled furniture, reclaimed crockery, and wooden floors give the space a warm, lived-in character, while artwork chosen by the family adds a personal touch throughout.
The pub will accommodate around 50 guests across the dining area and bar, with a street terrace open all year round.
