Young people in the industry offered great opportunity for career development

ENTRIES are open for the 2008 Olive Barnett award, the prize for which includes £3000 in grant money over the next three years, and a place on the summer programme at Ecole Htteli?re de Lausanne, Switzerland.

Open to under 30’s working in customer facing roles in the hospitality, leisure, travel and tourism industries on a daily basis, entrants must write a 500 word response to the following question:

"Climate change, the environment, `going green` and being a `good` employer, are increasingly on everyone`s agenda. If you were asked to put together a strategy for your company to embrace these issues as part of a Corporate Social Responsibility programme, what would your top four priorities be and why?

Explain how you would ensure that you were balancing the interests of the business with a more altruistic approach, particularly how you would demonstrate value to the customer."

Have you got what it takes to win place on the prestigious weeklong Lausanne Executive Education - Summer Programme at the world-famous Ecole Htteli?re for Summer 2008.
