Fine food and ingredients specialist Cooks & Co has launched its Mediterranean ingredients range into foodservice. 

Product details: 

Cooks & Co, a well-known name in retail, has launched a new and improved line for the foodservice sector. The Mediterranean ingredients range includes Grilled Red Peppers in Sunflower Oil, Mixed Antipasto in Sunflower Oil and Long Stem Artichokes in Sunflower Oil. All products are available in 1.1kg sapphire catering jars with screw top lids and come with a number of recipe suggestions. 

USP:

The products are designed to save many caterers time as they are ready to serve from the jar, but can also be integrated into recipes. Cooks & Co will launch a campaign around the new range that will call on caterers to 'add a splash of colour to their menus' that will aim to demonstrate the versatility of the ingredients.

Why you should buy it: 

The range is versatile, ingredients can be served as part of a mezze plate for example, or can be added into a variety of dishes. Cooks & Co suggests adding the mixed antipasto to couscous with olive oil or cooking it with garlic and a thick passata for use a a vegetarian panini filling. 

Anne Marie Cannon, product marketing manager for Cooks & Co, said they also tap into the trend for Mediterranean food.
