Director of City Apartments David Smith and Staying Cool serviced apartments were among the winners at the Association of Serviced Apartment Providers (ASAP) Conference Awards 2014.

The awards ceremony took place on 4 December at the ASAP Annual Conference and Awards dinner.

Chairman of ASAP and director of City Apartments David Smith scooped the the Lifetime Achievement award. He was lauded for spotting the ‘potential’ of the serviced apartment sector early on and for being a ‘powerful advocate’ for it.

Other UK prize winners included Marlin Apartments, Staying Cool, and Oakwood Worldwide.

ASAP managing director James Foice said: “The judges were hugely impressed with the quality of entries for the awards this year. The theme for the ASAP Annual Conference focused on the guest experience, and all our winners and highly commended entries were notable for their absolute dedication to providing a great guest experience.

“Our congratulations go to all the winners and highly commended entries, all of whom demonstrated why our industry is fast becoming a force to be reckoned with.”
