Spanish chef Omar Allibhoy will open his third Tapas Revolution restaurant in Shoreditch in February 2015.

The new contemporary Spanish tapas bar will be situated on Bethnal Green Road and will have 100 covers.

Tapas Revolution Shoreditch will be open seven days a week for all-day dining and will serve tapas made using ingredients that Allibhoy has sourced from across different regions of Spain.

Allibhoy launched his first Tapas Revolution restaurant in Westfield London shopping centre in 2010, and his second site opened in Bluewater in 2011. This will be his first standalone restaurant on the high street.

"Shoreditch is a great location to open our third Tapas Revolution and first standalone site,” said Allibhoy.

“It’s a great chance to further spread the word about tapas to a new audience and bring an authentic taste of Spain to Shoreditch.”

Tapas Revolution will also be opening a site outside London in 2015 at the new Grand Central shopping centre in Birmingham.

The menu at Tapas Revolution Shoreditch will be divided into four different sections: meat, fish, vegetables, and egg dishes.

A large board will display both regional and seasonal ‘sharing specials’ and the restaurant will follow the ‘Paella los Jueves’ Spanish tradition, where paella is only allowed to be served once a week, on a Thursday.

In terms of drinks, the restaurant will serve a selection of Spanish craft beers, and soft drinks and wine will also come from Spanish producers. The wine will be served in a porrón, which is a traditional Spanish wine glass pitcher with a long spout that allows for sharing.

The Shoreditch restaurant was designed by Alexander Waterworth Interiors, and will feature the signature copper-topped bar found in all the Tapas Revolution tapas bars.

The venue will have an open kitchen that will be visible from the street, and the design will utilise ‘fresh, urban and contemporary colours’ with the aim of creating an ‘easy’ atmosphere for all-day dining.
