The 10 remaining hotels within the Hotel Collection portfolio have been placed on the market for £130m.

The hotels, which include the 170-bedroom Majestic Hotel in Harrogate and the 154-bedroom Old Ship Hotel in Brighton, could be sold separately, in clusters or as a whole group, a spokesperson for Savills told BigHospitality.

The company, previously known as Puma Hotels, was re-branded The Hotel Collection in 2014 by owner Lone Star. Eleven of its 21 hotels have already been sold off to different companies.

Martin Rogers, head of UK hotel transactions at Savills, jointly representing the sale with Rothschild, said: “We are pleased to be bringing this significant collection of hotels to market.  The distinctive heritage and character of each property has been maintained while generating a robust collective income.  The portfolio also offers numerous value-add and asset management opportunities to further enhance the long term revenue.”

The properties, which feature 1,433 bedrooms and 111 meeting rooms plus numerous restaurants, gyms and health spas, produced a total revenue of £48 million in 2015.

The portfolio, whose sale has been dubbed Project Solstice, comprises: The Majestic Hotel, Harrogate; The Old Ship Hotel, Brighton; The Redworth Hall Hotel, County Durham; The Imperial Hotel, Torquay; The Billesley Manor Hotel, Stratford-upon-Avon; The Imperial Hotel, Blackpool and The Shrigley Hall Hotel, Golf and Country Club, Macclesfield; The Stirling Highland Hotel, Stirling; The Aberdeen Altens Hotel, Aberdeen and The Angel Hotel, Cardiff.
