Restaurant Gordon Ramsay has knocked The Ledbury off the number one spot for the first time in All In London's Ultimate Restaurant List.

The list of 100 restaurants, compiled using a mathematical algorithm based on the results of other restaurant awards and ratings from the last 12 months, has been topped by The Ledbury since it started in 2012.

However, this year Ramsay's Royal Hospital Road restaurant, until recently run by chef-patron Clare Smyth, came out top, scoring 9.125.

Matt Abe, chef de cuisine at Restaurant Gordon Ramsay, said: "We have an excellent team here working extremely hard at Restaurant Gordon Ramsay, and we are all thrilled to have been awarded the Ultimate Restaurant Award. We always have, and will continue to focus on our guests, making sure they have a memorable experience that will stay with them for a long time.”

Hoppers London, the latest restaurant from the Sethi's JKS Restaurants group, is in second place while The Ledbury falls to third place this year.

Other restaurants on the list include Bao (16) and Robin Gill's Clapham restaurant The Manor (25). All in London has also made predictions for new appearances next year with Jason Atherton's Sosharu, Gill's Paradise Garage and Tom Seller's Restaurant Ours tipped for inclusion.
