Smoky Boys schedules two 2018 openings as its growth plans commence
Halal barbecue and burger chain Smoky Boys is to open two new restaurants this year as part of its ambitious growth plans.

The Watford-born group, which already operates three restaurants on the outskirts of London and one delivery site, will launch a restaurant in the upcoming Boxpark Wembley site in October, following a summer opening in Hemel Hempstead.

Founded in 2016 by Sharif Rahman and Hiron Miah, Smoky Boys restaurants serve a fully halal menu comprising the likes of grilled chicken wings in a variety of flavours; beef brisket; chargrilled shrimp; hot dogs; barbecued ribs; and a range of 15 burgers.

The group is targeting locations around the capital and on its fringes, as well as franchise opportunities in locations such as shopping malls; food halls; train stations; and sports stadiums.

“Smoky Boys has not only become a brand name, which is making waves, it is also one which crosses the boundaries of halal and non-halal followers due to its highly attractive concept and exciting food,” says co-founder Rahman.

“Boxpark Wembley, which is right at the doorstep of Wembley Stadium, is a great location to be in and we’re very proud to be part of it.”

Smoky Boys launched its largest site early last year in Amersham followed by an opening in Hounslow and a delivery kitchen unit in Stevenage.

The founders recently launched an ordering app called Smoky Boys to allow diners to place online orders and collect them in-store.
