The restaurant, which is located on Upper Street in Islington, will be the brand’s flagship site and follows the success of its debut restaurant in Camden and the opening of a vegan butcher in November 2020.
The new site, which will comprise an adjoining vegan butcher, covers 14,000sq ft and is styled in the design of a classic American diner with yellow booths, neon signs, backlit menu boards and a jukebox
The menu will serve Rudy’s signature veganised versions of classic American diner food, including its Ultimate Burger, a take on the classic hamburger with a grilled soya beef mince patty; the Rubenz sandwich with seitan pastrami on fresh rye bread; Mac ‘n’ Cheeze and dairy-free freakshakes.
Meat-free alternatives such as pastrami, baycon and meatballs are available to buy from the adjoining Rudy’s Vegan Butcher or order online for click & collect. A home delivery menu isalso be available for certain North London postcodes alongside DIY kits for creating Rudy’s dishes at home.
The launch follows the opening of a Rudy’s Vegan Butcher concession in Selfridges Foodhall earlier this month.
