Neighbourhood-style restaurant brand Megan's is pushing ahead with 'ambitious growth plans' with an aim to reach 22 sites in total by the end of 2022.

The group has lined up three new openings in Dulwich Village, Richmond and Marlow respectively, which are all set to launch before the end of the year.

It will take Megan's estate, which is primarily concentrated in the capital, to 16 sites. 

Megan’s is known for its dog-friendly sites, all-day brunch and Mediterranean-inspired evening menu.

The group recently appointed operations director Christobell Harrington-Jones, previously operations director at Wagamama and Mitchells & Butlers; and people director Adam Truelove, former head of people at Côte Brasserie.

Against the backdrop of the pandemic and industry-wide staff shortages, the group is looking to recruit a further 100 team members, with roles across the estate and in the support office, to drive it 'ambitious plans' that is expected to see it add a further six sites to its portfolio next year.

"With such a talented team in place we are excited to be expanding the Megan’s quality cafes to more local neighbourhoods over the ensuing months,” says Rod McKie, the former Welcome Break and Sticks’n’Sushi CEO, who chairs Megan’s.

Megan's opened its first restaurant on Chelsea’s King’s Road in 2002.
