Scottish hospitality group Buzzworks Holdings will open its Scotts restaurant brand in Greenock.

Set to open at the new £19m Greenock Cruise Ship Visitor Centre, currently under construction on the banks of the river Clyde, the restaurant will be the family-run business’s first venture in Inverclyde.

The all-day dining restaurant will have 150 covers including a rooftop terrace with panoramic views across the water. It will be the company’s fourth restaurant under its Scotts brand , joining venues in Troon and Largs as well as its newest in the East at South Queensferry, just outside Edinburgh.

“Having been in the pipeline for over three years, this is another significant step forward in our continued growth strategy as we continue to branch out from our historical base in Ayrshire,” says Kenny Blair, Buzzworks Holdings MD.

“We pride ourselves on the delicious food, excellent cocktails and world class service our venues provide to customers, so it’s an exciting time for the business as Buzzworks extends its portfolio further and takes Scotts to Greenock. We can’t wait to begin fitting out the venue to showcase our take on stylish costal escapism and look forward to finally opening our doors to both the local community and visitors alike.”
