Mezcalito doubles up in London
Opening today (1 June), Mezcalito's second London outpost will stick close to original, featuring a menu of small and large sharing plates, and a drinks offering that includes what it claims to be one of the UK's biggest selection of agave spirits.
Mezcalito launched its first site on Sydney Street in Chelsea in 2018, and counts Breaking Bad actor Bryan Cranston among its customers.
Smaller plates to feature at the group's new Islington site will include Mexican-style corn on the cob coated with Tajin chilli and grated parmesan; and nachos topped with homemade frijoles, paprika nacho cheese, sour cream and roasted salsa de la casa.
Main dishes, meanwhile, will include a range of tacos, burritos and quesadillas with fillings such as marinated sirloin steak strips; achiote-marinated chicken; and prawns marinated with garlic and Mexican lime.
Desserts will include Mezcalito's signature chocolate-filled churros.
Mezcalito stocks a collection of more than 250 agave spirits including well-known brands, limited releases, hard-to-find bottles and vintage editions, which form the base for a range of cocktails including its house margarita.
