Multifaceted theatre venue Labyrinth, which is set to launch within The Sidings development at London Waterloo later this year, will feature a huge restaurant space and Alice in Wonderland-themed bar.

The first permanent site from newly-formed immersive company Labyrinth, which is the new venture from Oliver Lansley and James Seager, creative directors of theatre group Les Enfants Terribles, Labyrinth Waterloo will open in phases beginning with its 101-cover restaurant The Rosarium, which will launch in September.

This will be followed in November with the opening of Underland, a 220-cover bar serving cocktails themed around Les Enfants Terribles’ Olivier-nominated Alice’s Adventures Underground theatre show, which will also find a new permanent home at Labyrinth Waterloo.

“Labyrinth will operate a world-class permanent home to the ever-flourishing immersive genre for the existing and new generation of theatre goers and experience seekers,” says Seager.

“Our content will place audiences at the forefront of every experience that crosses over our shows, our restaurants, and our bars.  Labyrinth Waterloo underneath Waterloo Station is just the beginning and we’re very excited about what the global future holds.”

The Rosarium will be overseen by executive chef Harvey Ayliffe, who has developed a modern British menu that will incorporate 'performative and sense-heightening experiences'. The restaurant will include an indoor terrace and PDR.

In line with the Alice’s Adventures Underground theme, the restaurant's interiors will take inspiration from the architecture of the quintessential English gardens of Lewis Carroll’s era.

Ayliffe, whose CV includes stints at Le Caprice, Bentley’s, J Sheekey, The Ivy West End, Soho House and Hix group, will also oversee the offering at Underland.
