Dubai-born street food concept Operation: Falafel is to make its UK debut next month in London's Camden, ahead of plans for a wider roll out across the country

The fast causal brand, which was founded in 2014 and also has sites in both Saudi Arabia and the US, is being brought to the UK by the Miso Group.

Operation: Falafel pitches itself as balancing 'old-street flavours with 21st Century trends', featuring a menu shawarma pitas, kofta bowls, salads, and flavoured hummus.

Its 'signature' dish is a stuffed falafel with sumac and tahini that is fried to order and available as a salad or in a pita.

A small selection of sides also features, as do dessert options such as rice pudding; and baklava.

Opening on Chalk Farm Road, Operation: Falafel will offer takeaway, delivery and dine in options, with seating for up to 18 covers.

Miso Group was founded by Adria Wu, the chef behind natural food and juice bar group maple&CO, and Dubai-based F&B investor Tamer Bazzari in early 2020.

Under its plans for the Operation: Falafel brand, Miso Group is aiming to open 10 sites in the UK by 2025.

“We are delighted to build on the success of maple&CO with the launch of Operation: Falafel," says Wu

“The concept champions globally inspired dishes that are nutritious, balanced and made from scratch, with plenty of vegetarian and vegan options, perfect for effortless, delicious working social or leisure lunches and dinners for health conscious people who love good food."
