The Schofield Brother’s upcoming restaurant at Manchester’s Stock Exchange Hotel will be called The Stock Market Grill and is set for a February launch.

Announced in November, the venture will be the duo’s first-ever restaurant and will take over the space once occupied by Tom Kerridge’s Bull & Bear.

The offering will be broadly comparable to the space’s last occupant, with diners told to expect ‘traditional, well-loved British dishes executed with technique, using local, high quality produce’.

Dishes from the launch menu include whipped black pudding with yolk on toast; tartare of rib-eye with caper jam and smoked dripping; steamed cod with caramelised mash and tartare sauce; and sticktoffee tart with honey custard.

As announced earlier this year, the kitchen at will be led by head chef Joshua Reed Cooper, whose CV includes Stockport’s Where The Light Gets In and Manchester’s Michelin-starred Mana.

It will be the first restaurant from bartender brothers Joe and Daniel Schofield and their long-standing partner wine-expert James Brandwood, who already run Sterling bar within Stock Exchange Hotel, which opened this summer, alongside highly-rated Manchester cocktail destinations Schofield’s Bar And Atomeca.

“I am incredibly excited to be working with Joe, Daniel and James again on the launch of The Stock Market Grill. I know they will bring another world class-brand to the Stock Exchange Hotel and to our city," says Stock Exchange owner Gary Neville.

The trio added: "This is a concept that we have wanted to bring forward for some time and the former trading floor of the Stock Exchange seemed like the perfect option. Our aim is to reinvent the traditional hotel restaurant, to become a space destined for food and drink travellers, whilst providing an expectation-exceeding experience for the residents of the hotel.”
