Jean-François Piège to make UK debut with Mimosa
Occupying the space that was once home to Michel Roux Jr.’s Roux at The Landau, the restaurant is being brought to the UK by way of a partnership with the chef and Moma Group, which is also behind a number of international restaurants brands including Andia and works with other high-profile chefs including Eyal Shani and Marc Veyrat.
Mimosa London will be the first international outpost for the Mimosa brand and is described as 'an ode to the produce and heritage of France'.
Piège's menus will take cues from Mediterranean cuisine, while the dining room design will feature 'whimsical interiors'.
“With Mimosa London, we have the opportunity to work with one of France’s greatest restaurants, to bring the spirit of the Riviera to our central London hotel, and we can’t wait to introduce both hotel guests and diners from across London to the restaurant,” says Stefan Soennichsen, managing director of The Langham, London.
Earlier this year, Michael Roux Jr. confirmed the permanent closure of Roux at The Landau.
Launched in 2010 by Roux Jr. and his late father Albert, the restaurant had remained ‘temporarily closed’ since coronavirus restrictions eased prompting speculation about its future.
